Restore dental implants

Do you want to replace a missing tooth but yet don’t want something removable? With the newest developments in implants you no longer need to walk around without a tooth.
The tooth structure has two main sections, the root and the crown. The root is the section of the tooth that is below the gumline. A dental implant acts as the root for this section of the tooth. The first step of the procedure is the surgical placement of the implant by a periodontist. This implant will be left untreated for a period of 3-6 months. During this time, the bone will grow around the implant in a process called osseointegration.

Procedure:
Appointment 1: An impression coping (marks the placement of a dental implant in an impression of the teeth) is screwed into the implant. An X-ray is taken to verify the position of the coping. A final impression is taken. The lab fabricates an abutment which screws into the implant followed by a hand crafted crown.
Appointment 2: Screw in the abutment, fabricated by the lab, to the implant.  An xray is taken to confirm the exact position of the abutment. Cementation of the final crown is then done. This restoration will be comfortable and cosmetically pleasing. Your completed implant will be fully functional now and ready to use as your own tooth.
